The Saline Merry Mile presented by Ann Arbor Running Company is a 1 mile race/run on Michigan Avenue in downtown Saline. The race will run along the annual holiday parade route assuring that there is a cheering section for all participants! The race is noted for its downhill start and finish. This is the only opportunity to run on Michigan Ave as the road is only closed 2 times per year.
The race will start at 5:00pm and will be completed no later than 5:30pm to assure that the holiday parade can start on time. This is a great run for adults and children and is a great entry level race for beginning runners as well as a competitive event for seasoned athletes.
Kids under 10 running with a paid adult will run for free (and still receive the great race t-shirt). See multi-person registration on the registration page for details.

The proceeds of this race will benefit The Friends of Saline Cross Country, a non-profit organization made up of present and former parents of Saline High School cross country runners, coaches, alumni and friends of the program who raise funds to support the Saline cross country program and provide scholarships to SHS cross country runners. Even if you cannot participate, we welcome donations via this site.

The Course
The Saline Merry Mile presented by Ann Arbor Running Company is a 1 mile race/run on Michigan Avenue in downtown Saline. The race will run along the annual holiday parade route assuring that there is a cheering section for all participants! The race will start at the 4 corners (Ann Arbor Street and Michigan Avenue) and run east on Michigan Ave until a turnaround point just before Old Creek/Maple. Once the runners turn around, they will head west on Michigan Avenue until they reach the finish line, west of the 4 corners. The race is noted for its downhill start and finish.
